Intercessor | Evangelist | Clinical Leader | Spiritual Mother
First Lady Latesha Wilkerson is a powerful vessel of prayer, healing, and transformation. An anointed Intercessor, Evangelist, Mentor, and Spiritual Mother committed to advancing the Kingdom of God and empowering lives through both ministry and service. She faithfully serves alongside her husband, Pastor Joseph Wilkerson, Jr., at Peace Missionary Ministries, helping to cultivate a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, and transformative church community.
Called to ministry with a deep burden for prayer and restoration, First Lady Wilkerson has been preaching the Gospel since the age of 25. Her ministry is marked by authenticity, prophetic sensitivity, and a relentless pursuit of God’s presence. She carries a unique grace to minister to the broken, intercede for the weary, and guide individuals into healing, wholeness, and spiritual maturity.
Her passion for developing the next generation is evident through her founding of the Daughters of Destiny Dance Ministry, where she has poured into young girls ages 6–18 through mentorship, discipleship, and creative expression rooted in worship. In 2023, she expanded her impact by launching Wailing Women of Warfare, a dynamic prayer movement and conference designed to gather women from all walks of life into a deeper, more intimate encounter with God through intercession and spiritual warfare.
In addition to her ministry calling, First Lady Wilkerson is a highly accomplished and respected clinical leader with over 15 years of experience in human services. She currently serves as an Area Clinical Manager with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, where she provides executive oversight of clinical operations, case management systems, and staff development. In this role, she leads teams responsible for crisis intervention, family stabilization, child welfare services, and permanency planning, ensuring that vulnerable children and families receive compassionate, effective, and compliant care.
Her professional journey reflects a steady progression of leadership, beginning as a frontline social worker and advancing into supervisory and executive roles, including Unit Supervisor and Program Manager. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated expertise in crisis response, trauma-informed care, family preservation, and organizational leadership, while also contributing to statewide initiatives, training programs, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
First Lady Wilkerson holds a Master of Social Work from Westfield State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, along with advanced certifications in human services leadership and equity-minded practice. She is also a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) student at Simmons University, further deepening her commitment to clinical excellence, leadership, and systemic impact in the field of social work.
Whether in the sanctuary or in the community, First Lady Wilkerson embodies compassion, strength, and wisdom. She is passionate about seeing individuals restored, families strengthened, and women empowered to walk boldly in their God-given purpose.
Above all, she is a devoted wife and loving mother to Bria and Joseph, and she considers her family to be her first ministry. With grace, humility, and authority, she continues to serve as a pillar of strength both in her home and in the Kingdom of God.
